Therapy for Individuals in Colorado & California via Telehealth and In-Person in Colorado Springs

YOUR LIFE LOOKS GREAT. YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM DISAGREES.

Pressure, loss, betrayal, and responsibility don’t just impact you—they rewire you

Currently—

“I‘ve accomplished a lot. I don’t always feel like I can enjoy it.”
“I know how to perform. I’m not convinced I belong.”
“I keep moving to avoid what I feel when it’s calm.”
“You keep saying, ‘Next time I’ll handle it differently’.”

What Can Change —

You’re living a life you don’t feel the need to escape from.
You don’t question your right to be here anymore.
You don’t feel the need to fill the quiet.
You catch it early and adjust

You can leave relationships.
Your patterns go with you.

  • We were made for two things: connection and authenticity.
If connection and being known don’t feel possible, something’s in the way.

Trauma-informed therapy is used to work directly with experiences that still trigger reactions. EMDR is one treatment I use. Relationship Theory Model is another.

These approaches are often helpful when:
    • the body reacts strongly even when you want closeness or connection
    • you want to rewire your brain to respond completely differently from your usual predictable patterns
    • certain situations paralyze, cause panic or shutdown

We find what your brain and body learned and held onto, and then we retrain it—so you can stay connected and stay present. Because patterns were built for survival, not connection.

FAQ- Individual Therapy

  • No.

Many of the people I work with would never describe themselves that way.

They’re responsible. Capable. The one other people rely on. They’ve pushed through hard things and kept going.

    What they notice isn’t a dramatic backstory — it’s a pattern.

    • They shut down when things get close.

    • They overreact and then regret it.

    • They can handle pressure at work but feel off at home.

    • They feel restless when things are calm.

You don’t need a label to do meaningful work.
If something keeps repeating — internally or relationally — that’s enough.

  • Pretty straightforward.

We meet weekly in the beginning, for 60-120 minutes.

Some weeks that looks like talking — but not “venting for an hour.” More like getting specific: what happened, how you felt it, and what keeps hijacking you in that moment.

Other weeks it’s more structured (like EMDR or targeted attachment work) because talking alone doesn’t always touch the part of your system that’s reacting.

If you can tell me, “I don’t know why I keep doing this,” that’s enough to start.

  • It depends on what you want to change. Some people come in with one clear thing they’re ready to tackle and we work hard for a set stretch of time. Others stay longer because the patterns are older—or because they want deeper relational work. We name the target, track what’s changing, and adjust. Most clients work with me for 12 weeks minimum.

  • Intensives are often requested when highly-motivated client wants to make accelerated or progress and something feels urgent or stuck.

  • Intensives are typically private pay. Some clients can receive partial reimbursement depending on their out of network insurance plan benefits. I can check this for you during a consultation.
